Contiki Passport Paid Europe Travel Deal
What If Your Passport Was Paid For? Here’s How to Start Your European Summer for $412 Less
The Passport Problem No One Talks About…
You're 20-something, dreaming of warm nights in Italy, island-hopping in Croatia, and wandering the cobbled streets of Paris. But there’s just one problem…
You don’t even have a passport yet — and it’s $412 just to get started.
That upfront cost is stopping more young Aussies than you’d think.
In fact, 94% of 18–35-year-olds say the passport process is a key barrier to going overseas. 38% have delayed or cancelled travel altogether because of it.
It’s no wonder. Australia has the world’s most expensive passport — and that’s before you even board a plane.
But now, Contiki — the brand that’s helped millions of young travellers see the world — is stepping in.
Contiki’s Passport Offer: Here’s What You Need to Know
Contiki has just announced something brilliant for first-time travellers:
Book any 13+ day Europe trip, and they’ll take $412 off your booking to cover the cost of your Aussie passport.
It’s a limited-time offer designed to help more young Aussies take that all-important first step.
As Contiki’s Chief Customer Officer, Toni Ambler, puts it:
"Covering the world’s most expensive passport is our way of helping young people take that first step towards the adventure of a lifetime – building on everything Contiki stands for in terms of making travel more accessible to young people.”
This isn’t just a discount — it’s a passport fund.
It’s the sign you’ve been waiting for to go from “someday” to “I’m going.”
My Own Contiki Story: 9 Countries, Countless Memories, and a Piano in a French Château
When I first start working in the airline industry in Darwin I attended a Christmas party hosted by a competitor, no less, where I won a flight anywhere on the Qantas network. Can you believe it? That was the catalyst.
I was nervous. It would be my first overseas trip. Alone.
I booked a 21-day Contiki tour through England, France, Monaco, Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands. An introvert, travelling solo. What could go wrong?
Well… everything went right. And unforgettable.
I was paired with Bob Brown from Sydney — cocky, charming, cheeky. We became unlikely friends. The group was a blend of Aussies, Kiwis, Canadians, South Africans, Brits and Americans. Friendships formed fast on that bus. We rotated seats. We shared stories. We fell asleep on long travel days. We sang songs. We laughed until our cheeks hurt.
I remember one night in a château in France.
Dave from Adelaide played the piano while we sat around drinking, singing, living.
Another night in Switzerland, we were nearly caught in a blizzard on Mt Pilatus.
There was a fancy dress night, snow blanketing the balcony, and the kind of magic that only happens when you're young and far from home.
I fell in love with Florence — and it remains a favourite to this day.
Did I find it hard to mix with strangers at first? Yes.
Did I leave with lifelong memories and a deeper confidence? Absolutely.
That trip changed me.
And if I can do it — so can you.
A Note for Parents
If you're a parent reading this, wondering if Contiki is safe or sensible, I understand. I was once that shy traveller too.
Contiki tours are structured, well-managed, and filled with support. The tour manager and driver become mentors, guides, even counsellors. Your child won’t be alone.
They’ll build confidence. They’ll meet people from around the world. And they’ll come home with stories that will shape who they are.
Still have questions? I'm here to chat.
Ready to Go?
You could be wandering the markets of Barcelona, hiking the Swiss Alps, or sipping limoncello in Florence before you know it.
The only thing stopping you is a passport — and now, even that’s taken care of.
